Who’s Who

David & Maggie Hewitt

David & Maggie have led Wellsprings Community in Edinburgh since 2007. David is an architect and Maggie taught as a primary school teacher. They also head up the Scottish base for Movement in Worship. They are passionate about organic, creative, Spirit-led worship and have sought to lead a fresh expression of church that offers an encounter with the Presence of God. David networks widely across the city and nation and has also given input to churches in East Africa over the past 25 years.

David & Lyndsay Stewart

Based in West Lothian with their family, David & Lyndsay lead Dawnbird and regularly bring worship and teaching to different places. David, an artist and musician, has a degree in ceramics and works professionally as a touring puppeteer while Lyndsay also runs her own business as a driving instructor. David’s experience as a worship leader spans 30 years and a wide variety of settings. Both he and Lyndsay have been part of Movement in Worship since 2006. They have been involved in church leadership for over 20 years, formerly in children’s and youth ministry, and more recently starting a small church out of their home. Their heart is to make space for others and to help people to be free – particularly in the area of worship and the creative arts – and they love working with other pioneers!

Cowshed Events Team

Glory in the Cowshed is made possible by a broad, dedicated team of volunteers – from musicians, artists and dancers to administrators and practical and logistical people. A few of the people who co-ordinate these areas are mentioned here but there are many more!

David & Maggie and David & Lyndsay are assisted by Rachel Hewitt and Chris Hewitt in giving general leadership and oversight at the Cowshed. Chris and his wife Hazel also co-ordinate Cowshed Youth. Other key people are: Debbie Bernard (Art), Vicky Wilson (Spiritual Encounters), Judith Forbes (Admin) and Kit & Fiona Lane (Site & Serving).

Music and Tech are co-ordinated by David Stewart; Maggie & Lyndsay oversee Dance and Movement together with an experienced team.

Details of worship leaders will be included in the event programme, published nearer the time.
