What we believe

We believe in an orthodox Christian message as taught through the Bible, trusting in Jesus Christ as the unique Son of God who came to:

  • Reveal the nature of the Father
  • Reconcile us to God
  • Pour out the Holy Spirit upon all.

We believe that ‘For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.’ (1 Corinthians 15:22) – the work of the Cross is a finished work for all of creation, but through conversion (i.e. believing in it, seeing things from God’s perspective) we can all access the benefits, trusting in Him!

We see that the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) are involved in this work, having intended man to live in relationship with the Godhead from the very beginning. We were ‘only lost because we once belonged’, and through Christ we are restored to our original design.

We know that there is a breadth of theological understanding across the churches, but believe that we worship together not primarily because of doctrine, but because of love for Jesus. We seek to make space for creativity and the spiritual gifts in our extended worship, believing that God wants us to explore the fullest range of expression that is available to us!
