Dawnbird is a worship and arts collective that seeks to make space for free and prophetic worship in Scotland. Formed in 2011, its aims from the beginning have been to explore and model extended, creative worship and prayer, to develop the church’s engagement with the expressive arts, and to build community around these activities.

Growing out of weekly worship times in a living room, Dawnbird now holds a monthly worship gathering and creative space called “Wild Goose!” in West Lothian, and a small church family meets on Sundays.

Dawnbird frequently partners with Wellsprings and others to resource larger events such as the Next Wave, and Glory in the Cowshed.

Wellsprings was conceived as a house of prayer and worship: the church, Wellsprings Community, emerged out of this. It has been based in a redundant Victorian church building in Newcraighall since 2007.  The vision is for a gathered community that values worship, Presence and encounter, that seeks to give it away to those that will receive it. A rhythm of prayer is maintained in the Prayer Room through the week (during term times) and the community gathers regularly for meals and mutual support.

Wellsprings has hosted numerous workshops, conferences and events with national and international speakers. It is an independent church but connects with Global Legacy and the Scottish Network Churches.
